Mothman Prophecy is Freaky Fun with Richard Gere!

and author John A. Keel, who was in Point Pleasant when many of the strange

events were going on, shared his findings, which were hair raising like a roller

coaster ride from hell! This movie falls under the category of paranormal phenomena. When "The X-Files" first came out I watched it religiously and The Mothman Prophecies has the same eerie and cunning effect, as Agent Mulder(David Duchovny) smoking crack with an Alien who abducted his sister.

I'm not sure, but the wooded scenes and the small town gives the eerie feeling of Stephen King breathing down your neck saying numbers, 59, 41, 666, your dead! Thanks Mothman for the warning and next time don't make my eyes red and blood spill out of my ear!

The X-Files kept my attention and you will experience the same eyes-glued to the TV fun with creepy Mothman thing! The Mothman creature favors the killer insect from the movie, "Mimic(1997)." Both scary creatures seem to fly and it is hard to distiguish any human attributes. I found it uncanny to notice the correlation between the two creatures. As a matter of fact, I found it so uncanny, I cried for an hour with no one to dry my tears!

This movie does an outstanding job of keeping you at a distance with wondering about this creature. I like how you have to try and figure out why all hell is breaking loose and who is behind it. Is there one Mothman sharing insights into the future or is there a secret group of them having a tea party somewhere?

Richard Gere plays a reporter who gets the thrill of a lifetime, by investigating a series of strange events, that would confuse a blind rat, with one leg, in a burlap sack! Connie Mills played by Laura Linney was a high point in the movie for me, because I love watching Laura Linney act. She plays a cute cop and I wonder if she has the velvety handcuffs hidden in her bedroom drawer?

Laura Linney is best remembered in the highly touted, "The Life of David Gale." Below is what I remember and you will understand why.

Laura took an amazing chance playing that role and having to deal with public scrutiny...did she survive...yes, she did!

The Mothman seems to lovingly scare people sh**less and leave them crapping in their underwear for days! You have peoples' eyes turning red and one guy starts bleeding from his ear.

I would at least go out and buy everyone a snowcone to cheer up, before the Mothman flys back with some hellish news of horrific destruction. All in all, this movie has some fantastic filming and the music makes your underwear get tighter or maybe it was the chili dogs?

You've got Richard Gere getting freaky phone calls and people having premonitions. If I had dreams and creepy phone calls spouting out numbers, I would at least play the lottery to break the tension. I might even run over to the town pub and have a few suds, while throwing darts!

The Mothman Prophecy held me like a suckling little baby in a Winnie the Pooh blanket! This creepy pyschological thriller got me good. I was pleasantly surprised by the filming and acting in this movie.

The cast was perfect in this movie and I was waiting for pipes and gerbals to attack Richard Gere. By the way, if you don't know, the gerbal thing is an inside joke rumored around Hollywood about Richard Gere.
